In 1989, Monica Nanda opened the doors to a small family restaurant with a simple dream; to share the kind of food she grew up cooking for the people she loved. She wasn't trying to build a restaurant empire. She simply believed that every guest deserved a meal prepared with the same care, pride, and hospitality found around her own family table.
The recipes she brought with her weren't created in a test kitchen. They were based on and crafted from family treasures, passed from one generation to the next, beginning with her great grandmother. Every spice blend, every curry, every tandoor recipe carried an origination story and dedicated creation and revision long before it reached your table.
For more than three decades, families have celebrated birthdays here. Couples have had first dates that became marriages. Children who once came in holding their parents' hands now bring their own children through our doors. Many of our guests have become lifelong friends, and many of our employees have become family.
Through changing times, new locations, hurricanes, recessions, and even a global pandemic, one thing never changed—our promise to cook every dish from scratch with originality and integrity, without shortcuts, and to welcome every guest as if they were entering our own home.
Today, that legacy continues.
While Monica's son, Navul, and his wife, Annika, are leading Noon Mirch into a new generation with innovative cuisine, craft cocktails, and unforgettable dining experiences, the heart of the restaurant remains exactly where it has always been—with Monica's recipes, her standards, and her belief that food has the power to bring people together.
Every naan that leaves the tandoor, every biryani layered with fragrant spices, every curry simmered to perfection, and every guest we welcome is a tribute to the woman who started it all.
Because Noon Mirch has never been just about Indian food.
It's about family.
